The Molder is responsible for creatinga variety of complex models, including characters, props and environments for ananimation film that align with the artistic design/style of the film. Responsibilities · Demonstrate understanding ofdesign fundamentals/principles preparing and installing models for production. · Demonstrate versatility in theirability to create a wide range of models from hard-edged to organic shapes. · Create models that align withartistic design/style of film; interprets art reference/art direction. · Works independently with minimalsupervision. · Prepares and installs technicallyclean models for production. · Troubleshoots technical andcreative problems. · Demonstrate strategic thinking invarious modeling approaches and apply tools effectively and creatively tomodels. · Familiarity with the design rulesand themes of the film currently assigned to and how to best apply them. · Demonstrate a basic understandingof common design components that make aesthetically pleasing models, i.e.balance, composition, shape/form, rhythm, etc. Qualifications · 3+ years’ experience inanimation, vfx or game production · Willingness to model characters,props and environments · Solid communication, listening andpresentation skills · Good people skills; team playerand a high level of professionalism · Shows adaptability to newmethods, techniques and tools, as well as adaptability to the show production pipeline/environment · Eagerness to learn and willingnessto hone own technical and creative skills · Ability to take direction/feedback · Able to meet or beat assignmentdeadlines · Solution oriented; makesrecommendations to improve modeling processes · Strong working knowledge of Maya,Mudbox and Z-brush · Understands the technicalrequirements of each model and how technical modeling decisions relate to otherdepartments Please email your resume and any other supported materials to recruiting@odw.com.cn if you are interested in this position.
